Low Cup Kinda Week

Low Cup Kinda Week

I had so many intentions for today. I had a laundry list of things to get done. The plan was to get a lot of the office side of candle work done and that way the week was a little lighter. Not going to lie, next week will be a bit of a crazy one. We have something going on every day of the week next week and its going to be a tight fit on the schedule to add in work. So my original plan was, lets get all or at least most of the office side done during the weekend so then I can spend the week doing the actual making side and doing what is needed each day. Being a stay at home mom, we all know our house will be destroyed during the week and I figured I would like to just be able to have some time each day to clean up.

Yet, here I am, Saturday night, sitting on my couch and only now touching some of the back end of the candle business. If you caught my social media post, then you will see that I just literally was not feeling it today. The list of to do is long but my body said I was tired. I was wide awake at 7:25 this morning when I truly had all intents to sleep in until at least 9 am. But this body of mine said “nope, time to rise and shine!” I wasn’t too pleased. Yet I got up and took my time getting the homestead fed and taking the dogs out.

Ok perfect, everyone is taken care of, I can get my butt into gear and get some of my to do list done. Well it started out with making a smoothie for myself and after that, I was done. I was ready to relax and be lazy. I think that term lazy gets a bad rap for us moms because we don’t feel like we can be lazy since we are home all day and take care of the household. But at the same time like we always say, you can’t pour from an empty cup. So giving yourself a lazy day should honestly be something you take into consideration. Our bodies need the break at times! It sounds silly but that is self care! Taking the time to not being doing is a good thing! Moms, we do so much each and every day but we don’t actually add in taking care of ourselves a lot of the time.

Be lazy. Be lazy. Give yourself the right to be lazy. Yea maybe don’t be lazy every single day but give yourself the right to be lazy when your body needs it! I had all of these intentions, still do! Shoot I am still holding out hope that I will kick into gear and get a ton of work done but honestly I’m not banking on it. I am legit going to heat up left overs (maybe you can grab something from a restaurant), turn on a crime documentary series, sit on the couch and if I feel it, then maybe I will work some more. This blog is literally the most work I have done today.

News flash, It is ok to have a day to relax. Let me say that a little louder for the momma in the back. IT IS OK TO HAVE A DAY TO RELAX. Listen to your body momma! Treat your body right! You take care of those kids, the house, your job, your spouse, the animals, the sports, etc… but add yourself into that list! You need to be in the top 3 of who you take care of! Don’t keep putting yourself last. Let’s get you back towards the top! Be lazy! Rest up! Relax that body!

You can’t pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first.
